The University of Bejaia, established in October 1983, is a multidisciplinary public institution. Today, it has more than 45,700 students, 1,714 faculty members, and 1,227 technical and administrative staff, distributed across eight faculties: Technology; Exact Sciences; Law and Legal and Administrative Sciences; Natural and Life Sciences; Letters and Languages; Human and Social Sciences; Economic Sciences, Management Sciences, and Commercial Sciences; and Medical Sciences.
