Welcome to the 1st National Seminar on Mining, Minerals Processing, and Environmental Sustainability (NSMMPES’25) at the University of Bejaia. This event brings together leading experts, industry leaders, and students from across Algeria to share innovative ideas and solutions for advancing mining engineering with a focus on environmental stewardship. The seminar aims to bridge academia and industry by fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, addressing real-world challenges in sustainable mining, advanced mineral processing, environmental impact management, and geotechnical innovations. All participants are encouraged to engage actively in discussions and networking opportunities to help drive progress in the field.

 Objective

The 1st National Seminar on Mining, Minerals Processing, and Environmental Sustainability (NSMMPES'25), hosted by the University of Bejaia Mining and Geology Department on October 29-30, 2025, aims to unite experts, researchers, industry professionals, and students. Its core objectives are to foster collaboration, promote environmentally sustainable mining practices, and bridge the gap between academia and industry. The seminar will focus on driving innovation in mining technologies, enhancing resource management, addressing regional challenges specific to Algeria and North Africa, developing future leaders, and showcasing successful, economically viable best practices in sustainable mining.
